Expression of Cox-2, MMP-9 in Osteosarcoma and Their Clinical Significance
Objective To investigate the role of Cox-2 and MMP-9 in osteosarcoma by analyze their expression. Methods The expression of Cox-2 and MMP-9 specimens of 35 osteosarcoma and 14 osteochondroma tissues was evaluated by immunohistochemistry. To analyze their expression and relationship in osteosarcoma different pathological grade, clinical stage. Results The positive rat(82. 9%.71.4 %) of Cox-2 and MMP-9 in osteosarcoma were significantly higher than those in osteochondroma tissues(P<0. 01). The expressions of Cox-2 and MMP-9 in osteosarcoma were positively correlated(P<0. 05). The expression of Cox-2 and MMP-9 were correlated with Enneking Staging and Lung metastases(P<0. 05). Conclusions Cox-2 and MMP-9 were highly expressed in osteosarcoma. It seems that Cox-2 and MMP-9 contribute to development of osteosarcoma.
