The Clinical Observation of Laparoscopic Appendectomy and Small-incision Appendectomy
Objective To study the clinical efficacy between laparoscopic appendectomy (LA) and small-incision appendectomy (SA). Methods 85 cases of appendicitis were randomly divided into two groups, LA group of 40 cases and SA group of 45 cases. LA group received laparoscopic appendectomy and SA group received small incision appendectomy. The incision length, operative time, hospital stay, hospital costs, and cut infection in two groups were compared. Results The operative time, hospital stay, hospital costs, wound infection between the two groups had no significant difference (P>0. 05). The Incision length between the two groups had a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Both laparoscopic appendectomy and small-incision appendectomy can be selected when the cases were in the short onset time, signs of limitations, and diagnosed.
