Clinical application of infusion bottles connected by one vent and two connectors with side-holes for continuous bladder irrigation
Objective To observe the effect of the clinical application of infusion bottles connected by one vent and two connectors with side-holes for continuous bladder irrigation. Methods 210 patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group. Infusion bottles were connected with catheters by blood transfusion apparatus in two groups. Infusion bottle was connected one by one in control group. Three infusion bottles were connected by one vent and two connectors with side-holes in observation group. The cases of clotting occlusion, bladder spasms, vent occlusion, postive of urine bacterial culture, red blood cell count of centrifugal urinary sediment, average hours of nursing and average cost in 24 hours were compared between two groups. Results No significant difference was found in bacterial culture of urine and red blood cell count of centrifugal urinary sediment in 48 hours between two groups(P>0.05). Red blood cell count of centrifugal urinary sediment in 24 hours, the cases of clotting occlusion, bladder spasms, vent occlusion, average hours of nursing and average cost in 24 hours in observation group were significantly less than those in control group (P-CO. 01). Conclusions Infusion bottles connected by one vent and two connectors with side-holes for continuous bladder irrigation are more convenient, economical and improved efficiency of nursing.
