This paper adopts two oil monitoring technologies,the emission spectrum and infrared spectrum,to carefully analyze the abnormal faults of a marine hydraulic system.By using the emission spectrum to characterize the change of content of additive elements,it measures the quantity of lubricating oil mixed in hydraulic oil.It fur-ther analyzes with the differential mode of infrared spectrum analysis technology to accurately locate the fault position according to the quantity of mixed lubricating oil.This method saved time for equipment maintenance and repre-sented a better result.
