Study on the in vitro antibacterial effect of an antibacterial solution containing zinc undecylenate
Objective To study the in vitro antibacterial effect and related properties of an antibacterial solution containing zinc undecylenate. Methods The suspension quantitative germicidal test was used to observe the antibacterial effect of the antibacterial solution. Results The zinc undecylenate content of this antibacterial solution was 110 mg/L,and the stock solution was acidic. When the pH of the stock solution was 2.75,it was used to act on Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans in suspension for 1 min,and the average killing rates were all≥90%;in the range of pH 2.75~3.56,the antibacterial effect decreased with the increase of pH.Conclusion The antibacterial solution containing zinc undecylenate has good antibacterial effect on bacterial propagules and fungi.
