Analysis of clinical distribution characteristics and infection risk factors of multi-drug resistant organism in ICU
Objective To understand the clinical distribution characteristics of multidrug resistant bacteria in general intensive care unit(ICU),to analyze the risk factors related to infection. Methods The MDRO infection and etiological characteristics of 3 406 patients in general ICU ward from January 2018 to December 2020 were analyzed through retrospective investigation. The risk factors of MDRO infection in ICU were analyzed by univariate and multivariate logistic regression. Results The three-year average infection rate of MDRO in the general ICU of the hospital was 7.8%.The infection trend and overall composition were stable. The main samples of MDRO came from the respiratory tract. The results of binary logistic regression analysis showed that gender, length of ICU stay≥14 d,renal disease, mechanical ventilation, central venous catheter, type of antibiotics≥3 and history of aminoglycoside antibiotics were independent risk factors of MDRO infection in the ICU.Conclusion MDRO infection in the general ICU is mainly from the respiratory tract.A variety of factors provide favorable conditions for the occurrence of MDRO infection.
