Analysis of disinfection effect of the end water of a rural residents drinking pipe network
Objective To explore the sanitation condition of the end water in pipe network of a rural water plant, and to evaluate the disinfection effect of the end water. Methods By retrospective investigation method, water quality monitoring data of the end pipe network of chlorination disinfection in a rural water plant from 2013 to 2018 were collected. There were 9 indexes were included, such as total number of colonies, total coliform,Escherichia coli and free residual chlorine. Results A total of 560 water samples were monitored, and 320 were qualified, with a qualification rate of 57.14%.Among them, the qualified rates of free residual chlorine, total number of colonies, total coliform bacteria and E.coli were 69.82%,87.68%,72.32%and 81.61%,respectively.The lowest free residual chlorine qualification rate was 57.00%in 2017.The difference of qualification rate between the years was statistically significant(x2=17.950,P=0.004).The total number of colonies, total coliform bacteria and E.coli in 2013 were the lowest.Qualification rates were 64.00%,40.00%and 58.67%,respectively(x2=68.808,61.599 and 36.300,P<0.001).The qualification rate of free residual chlorine in the dry period was 65.94%lower than that of 73.59%in the flood period(x2=3.887,P=0.049).The qualification rate of E.coli was 77.82%lower than that of 85.51%in the dry period(x2=5.515,P=0.019).Conclusion The disinfection effec of the end water in the pipe network of a rural water plant is not optimistic, and the water is still contaminated by feces to a certain extent.
