Study on the disinfection-related properties of a polypeptide biological disinfectant
Objective To study the bactericidal effect and safety of a new biological disinfectant. Methods Suspension quantitative bactericidal test and animal test methods were used to observe the disinfection-related properties of a new polypeptide biological disinfectant. Results When the polypeptide biological disinfectant solution with a concentration of 5 500 mg/L was used for 10 min,the killing log values of Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa in suspension were all>5.0,and the killing log values of Candida albicans,was>4.0.The acute oral toxicity LD50 values of this disinfectant solution to rats and mice at 5 times the highest concentration were both>5 000 mg/(kg·bw).An intact skin irritation test was non-irritating;and no skin allergies were seen. The V79 cell gene mutation test results were negative;the mouse spermatocyte chromosome aberration test results were negative;the mouse bone marrow polychromatic erythrocyte micronucleus test results were negative;the teratogenicity index was<10.Conclusion This polypeptide biological disinfectant has good bactericidal effect, and is a practical non-toxic substance, and has no irritation or mutagenicity.
