A network Meta-analysis of the protective effect of different care solutions on the perineal care of patients with indwelling catheterization
Objective To understand the effect of different perineal care solutions on preventing urinary tract infections in patients with indwelling catheterization.Methods By collecting relevant literature from online platforms and using Meta-analysis methods,a literature survey and analysis were conducted on the effect of different care solutions on preventing urinary tract infections in patients undergoing indwelling catheterization for perineal care.Results Using effective iodine disinfectant ranging from 2 000 mg/L to 5 000 mg/L,traditional Chinese medicine preparations,chlorhexidine solution,furacilin,and benzalkonium bromide solution as care solutions,the most effective solution for preventing urinary tract infections was iodine disinfectant,followed by traditional Chinese medicine preparations,chlorhexidine solution,antibacterial solution,furacilin,and 1 000 mg/L benzalkonium bromide solution.Conclusion Iodophor disinfectant with available iodine of 5 000 mg/L is the most effective preparation for preventing urinary tract infections in patients with indwelling catheterization.
