Analysis of the current status and its influencing factors of knowledge, belief, and action on the suitability testing of medical protective masks
Objective To understand the current status of knowledge, belief, and action in medical protective mask fit testing and to analyze the influencing factors. Methods A questionnaire survey and statistical analysis were used to investigate the current status of the knowledge, belief, and action of 288 hospital staff in Jiangsu province on the suitability testing of medical protective masks. The influencing factors of scores of the medical staff in the protective mask fit test were analyzed by using single-factor and multifactorial logistic regression analysis. The correlation analysis method of Pearson correlation analysis was used to assess the correlation. Results 241 questionnaires were collected, with the effective response rate of 83.68%,and the mean score of the fitness test for protective masks for 241 medical personnel was 71.19,with a correct score rate of 67.80%.Working years,age,anti-epidemic experience and completion of mask fit test were independent factors affecting the knowledge and confidence behavior score(P<0.05).The correlation coefficients of knowledge and belief, knowledge and behavior, and belief and behavior of the protective mask suitability test for medical personnel were 0.385,0.445,and 0.318,respectively,which were all significantly correlated(P<0.05).Conclusion The knowledge, belief, and behavior scores of medical staff in Jiangsu medical institutions for medical protective mask suitability testing are relatively low,and education should be strengthened to standardize medical behavior.
