Study on the Performance of a Multifunctional Personal Care Product
This article introduces a multifunctional personal care product Velsan SX,which mainly includes two active product,Piroctone olamine and Sorbitan caprylate,respectively.This article study on the antimicrobial properties and anti-oxidant of Velsan SX in personal care formulations.The results showed that,Velsan SX had a good bacteriostatic performance against Malassezia,and the bacteriostatic performance of Velsan SX was increase with the increase concentration of Velsan SX;Velsan SX exhibited good bacteriostatic performance against Propionibacterium acnes,when the amount of Velsan SX added is 1.5%,its antibacterial rate against Propionibacterium acnes reaches 99.9%;Velsan SX exhibited excellent anti-corrosion performance in rinse-off care formulations.Velsan SX had strong activity of scavenging the free radicals,so it exhibited good anti-oxidant performance.
