Study on Anti-Dandruff and Anti-Pruritic Properties of Selenium Disulfide Shampoo
In order to study the anti-dandruff and anti-itching performance of selenium disulfide in shampoo, the antibacterial effect of the sample on the representative fungi of Malassezia furfur and Candida albicans was determined by in vitro antibacterial method. The anti-dandruff and anti-itching performance of the subjects after 28 days of continuous use of selenium disulfide shampoo was evaluated by human trial test method. The results showed that the diameters of bacteriostatic rings for Malassezia furfur and Candida albicans were both more than 7 mm,and 93.3%of the subjects felt that dandruff symptoms were obviously alleviated or disappeared.Shampoo with 1%selenium disulfide had bacteriostatic,dandruff-removing and itching-relieving effects.
