Performance of Fatty Alcohol Sulfates with Different Counter Ions
The performance of C12-14 fatty alcohol sulfate with different counter Ions(AS-Li,AS-Na and AS-K)was studied.Equilibrium surface tension,dynamic surface tension,foam,wetting and emulsification performance of the C12-14 fatty alcohol sulfate were tested.The results indicated that surface tension at critical micelle concentration decreased in the order AS-Li>AS-K>AS-Na.Initial dynamic surface tension of AS-Li and AS-Na was lower than that of AS-K.The foam volume of C12-14 fatty alcohol sulfate decreased in the order AS-Na>AS-K>AS-Li,while the wetting time increased in the order AS-Li<AS-Na<AS-K.Additionally,the emulsification performance of AS-Na and AS-K was better than that of AS-Li.
