This paper provides an overview of the current fabric detergent market and identifies the main issues faced in the development of detergent powders.By in-depth analysis of the benefits of detergent powder and its differences comparing other products,powder products should be upgraded in different aspects to achieve sustainable development including detergency,solubility,efficacy,concentration etc.Regarding solubility,it requires to improve both pro-ducts formulation and manufacturing process.In the future,detergent powder products need to maintain their cleaning effectiveness while improving solubility and adding more consumer-perceivable functionalities to achieve better and faster development.
