Design and study of a formula for an ultra-low temperature quaternary ammonium salt disinfectant
A ultra-low temperature composite quaternary ammonium salt disinfectant was designed, and the efficacy and environmental impact of the product were systematically studied by means of carrier quantitative killing test, toxicology test and aquatic biological test. The experimental results showed that under the condition of-40℃,the composite quaternary ammonium salt ultra-low temperature disinfectant had a disinfection effect on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli on the carrier cloth, with killing pair values reaching or exceeding 3.00.The disinfectant showed low toxicity in acute oral toxicity testing, mild irritation to one-time intact skin, and no effect on the formation of micronuclei in mouse bone marrow polychromatic red blood cells. However, its toxicity level to Chlorella vulgaris was moderate toxicity,to Daphnia magnaStraus was severe toxicity, and to Danio rerio was low toxicity. Therefore,in areas where ultra-low temperature composite quaternary ammonium salt disinfectant is used, direct discharge of wastewater containing disinfectant into natural water bodies should be avoided, and relevant wastewater needs to be treated to reduce its impact on the environment.
