Study on Synthesis Process of Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate(SCI)was synthesized using coconut oleic acid and sodium hydroxyethyl sulfonate as raw materials.By comparing the reaction activity with catalyst and without catalyst,the experiment showed that the addition of catalyst did not significantly improve the reaction rate.Therefore,under the condition of no catalyst,the optimal process conditions for the reaction were determined through single factor optimization.Under nitrogen protection,the optimum reaction temperature is 240℃,the reaction time is 5h,and the ratio of coconut oil acid to sodium hydroxyethyl sulfonate is 1.2:1.The conversion rate of sodium hydroxyethyl sulfonate is as high as 94.7%,and the active substance content in the product is greater than 84%.The product does not need purification and is a milky white solid.
