The cleaning and disinfection of reusable medical devices are crucial steps for removing dirt,blood,tissue residues,harmful microorganisms,and other contaminants from the surface of the instruments.This process ensures the cleanliness of the devices,reduces the risk of cross-infection,and guarantees the safe use of medical instruments.This paper summarizes the characteristics of microbial and organic matter adhesion on the surface of reusable medical devices and the challenges associated with their cleaning and disinfection.It outlines the standard procedures and technical methods for cleaning and disinfecting reusable medical devices,and describes the current state of cleaning and disinfection products,as well as quality monitoring.Finally,the development trends in the cleaning and disinfection of reusable medical devices are analyzed.
