The Synthesis and Application of Stearoylethanolamide
Stearoylethanolamide is a wax like oil soluble nonionic surfactant widely used in industry. The main reaction for synthesizing this product is ester exchange reaction, which involves the reaction of stearic acid, methyl stearate or hydrogenated oil with monoethanolamine to produce stearic acid monoethanolamide.Due to its excellent physical and chemical properties and unique molecular structure,it is widely used in fields such as surfactant synthesis, metal processing, and rubber processing. This paper reviews the synthesis methods and applications of stearic acid monoethanolamide, and provides prospects for future research directions.
