As a typical natural saponin,tea saponins has excellent surface activity,can be used as a natural surfactant in shampoo.In this study,the effects of tea saponins and four commonly used surfactants in shampoo on the appearance of dyed hair were studied by using MAMBO sensor.The results show that,whether hair is dyed by oxidative or semi-permanent dyes,dyed hair washed with tea spanins showed significantly lower ΔE,indicating that tea saponins can maintain the color of dyed hair.Refer to the method in GB/T 13174,determine the ability of these five surfactants to remove lipids and proteins.The results indicate that tea saponins have lower lipids and proteins reactivity,which may be the reason why tea sponins can maintain the color of dyed hair.On this basis,two shampoos containing tea saponins were prepared.Using a self-build method to evaluate the hair color retention effect of these two shampoos.The results indicate that the shampoo containing tea saponins shows good efficacy in hair color retention,tea saponins have great application prospects in shampoo for dyed hair.
