Jinhui is a new watermelon F1 hybrid variety developed by crossing inbred line W8 as female parent and inbred line Zhao 10 as female parent. It is developed by Kaifeng Vegetable Research Institute in 2003. It is an early mature cultivar with high quality and high yield. The plant is strong and sets fruits easily. It is suitable for cultivation in open field and protected production in most areas of China. The whole growing period is about 80 days and the fruit developing period is 26-28 days. The fruit is round with green skin,dark green stripes and heavy wax. The rind is about 1.1 cm thick and durable. The average fruit weight is 6-8 kg. The flesh is red,tender and crispy. The center soluble solid content is about 12.5%. The yield on 667 m2 is 3 500-4 000 kg.
