Effects of LED light source with different light quality on the growth and development of Asterophora lycoperdoides
In order to investigate the growth and development characteristics of Asterophora lycoperdoides under light stress, the effects of 10 different light quality LED light sources on the mycelium growth, primordium differentiation and fruiting body development of this mushroom were investigated by plate culture method. The results showed that different light sources inhibited the mycelial growth of A.lycoperdoides, with white light showing the most significant inhibitory effect.Meanwhile, the effect of light source on the number of its primordium differentiation was not significant, but the longest time of primordium differentiation(3.75 d)was observed under white light culture. In addition, warm yellow light promoted the development of its fruiting body development, while blue light had an inhibitory effect, and violet light tended to inhibit and then promote the development of this mushroom. From 2 to 3 d after inoculation, the mycelium growth rate and the number of primordium differentiation of A.lycoperdoides showed a linear increasing trend, and reached the peaks on the 3 d,4 d under most of the light sources, respectively;from 3 to 4 d,under most light sources, the number of its fruiting body development also showed a linear growth trend and reached a peak.It is worth noting that the mycelium growth rate, the number of primordium differentiation and the number of fruiting body development of this mushroom still showed small peaks after the peak period under some light sources. In conclusion, light stress was detrimental to the mycelium growth of A.lycoperdoides and had a minor effect on the primordium differentiation, but had a positive and negative effect on the development of the fruiting body.
