Gan Kugua 1937 is a new mid-late maturing bitter gourd cultivar developed by using BK0702-5 as female parent and LK1402-6 as male parent.The plant has strong growth potential,and the first nodal position of female flower on main vine is 16-24,its fruits are characterized by stick shape,green color,longitudinal stripe and round tumor,strong luster with about 30.0 cm in length,7.2 cm in diameter,1.2 cm in flesh thickness,480 g in the single fruit mass,and the general cultivation yield is about 3000 kg·667 m-2.The fruit is crispy,bitter,and rich in flavor.The plant showed strong resistance to Fusarium wilt,it is suitable to be cultivated in regions with similar ecological conditions of Jiangxi province.
