Mingjiao No.14 is a bell pepper hybrid developed by crossing m67-4-2-4-5 as female parent and f72-5-1-2-3 as male parent.The whole growth period was about 110 d from transplanting to the harvest of red pepper in protected culti-vation in Fujian.Its fruit is 25-26 cm in length and about 1.2-1.5 cm in width.Its fresh fruit is 0.2 cm in thickness.The sin-gle fruit mass is about 30-40 g.The yield is about 2300-2500 kg·667 m-2,the fruit is curved,the immature fruit is green in color and matured fruit is red in color.The vitamin C content is 1750 mg·kg-1 and capsaicin content is 7780 SHU and crude fiber content 0.05%.This variety has rich fragrance and good quality,and is suitable for spring and autumn cultiva-tion in Fujian province.
