Genetic diversity and correlation analysis of main agronomic characters of European greenhouse cucumber germplasm resources
In order to study the genetic diversity, genetic relationship and characteristics of agronomic traits of European greenhouse type cucumber germplasm resources and provide reference for breeding new cucumber variety,18 agronomic traits such as,leaf length, leaf width and the first female flower node position of 41 European greenhouse cucumber materi-als collected and purified were identified for genetic diversity, correlation and cluster analysis in this experiment. The vari-ation coefficient of 18 agronomic traits was 13.36%-76.48%,the maximum variation coefficient was 76.48%in the first female flower node, the minimum variation coefficient was 13.36%in plant growth potential with an average coefficient of 27.78%.Leaf length, leaf width and internode length were significantly positively correlated with each other;both sin-gle melon mass and per plant melon mass were positively correlated with the first female flower node position.Peel color was significantly positive correlated with peel hardness, and significantly negative correlated with heart-cavity ratio. When the genetic similarity coefficient(GS)is 1.86,European greenhouse cucumber materials divided into three catego-ries,the first category contained 23 cucumber germplasm resources, accounting for 56%of the tested materials. The sec-ond category contains 4 cucumber germplasm resources. The third category contains 14 cucumber germplasm resources. The 41 European greenhouse cucumber materials have great genetic differences, are rich in genetic diversity and breeding target selection potential, which provide excellent resources for breeding new European greenhouse cucumber variety.
