Analysis of genetic effects on related characters of cucumber in South China type
To study the genetic effects of South China cucumber inbred lines and their F1 generation,20 hybrid combina-tions were prepared using NCII experimental design with four inbred lines as male parents and five inbred lines as female parents.Heterosis analysis,correlation analysis,combining ability analysis and heritability parameter analysis of 9 agro-nomic characters,yield and quality indexes were carried out.The results showed that leaf area was highly significant posi-tive correlation with yields.The proportion of positive super-parent and middle-parent dominance in leaf area and yields was between 60%and 100%.09-2-CD×P107,09-2-CD×Gy08 and C20×Quanlü were significant advantage in yields.Qc19×Quanlü,LC68×Gy08、LC68×Quanlü、Qc19×138-LC had certain hybrid advantages in quality and yield.P107 can be used as a male parent with higher total sugar content and yields by general compatibility analysis,C20 can be used as a high vitamin C content,high yield and melon shaped slender female parent.09-2-CD can be used as female parent of low height and high yield;the narrow and broad heritability of longitudinal and transverse dimensions,vitamin C content and single fruit mass are more than 60%by analyzing the heritability parameters,which indicated these traits have good genet-ic stability.
