Comprehensive evaluation of different cherry tomato cultivars based on principal component analysis and sensory evaluation
Taking 10 cherry tomato varieties as test materials, the growth indexes difference of tomato plants and fruits and fruit quality indexes were determined by using multivariate analysis methods such as correlation, sensory evaluation and principal component,in order to provide reference for screening high quality fresh-eat cherry tomato varieties suitable for local climatic and environmental characteristics. The results showed that there were some differences in plant growth and fruit quality. Xiaocui and Huyinghong No.1 belonged to the polytomy,so they had the largest fruit number per inflo-rescence(about 50). In terms of fruit number per inflorescence,Xiaocui and Huyinghong No.1 were not significant, but significantly different from the other eight tomato varieties. From the correlation analysis, the fruit longitudinal diameter was more correlated with other trait indicators. Based on the combination of artificial tasting and natural induced resis-tance of tomato late blight in the field, the comprehensive score of sensory evaluation was obtained that the top four vari-eties were Chuanhong tomato,Huyinghong No.1,Xiaocui and Yunü. The results of principal component analysis showed that four representative principal components were selected from the four principal components, and the cumulative vari-ance contribution rate was 87.263%,the comprehensive score of fruit quality index was calculated. Chuanhong tomato,Huyinghong No.1,Xiaocui and Yunü ranked the top four respectively, and their comprehensive quality were better. There-fore,these four varieties are suitable for cultivation in Zhaotong area.
