Research progress of Nod-like receptor protein 3 in the pathogenesis of diminished ovarian reserve
Diminished ovarian reserve(DOR)is an important cause contributing to the decline in fertility among women of reproductive age worldwide. It is characterized by a decrease in the quantity and/or quality of oocytes within the ovaries. At present, the pathogenesis of DOR is not clear, but chronic aseptic inflammation response is considered as the main pathophysiological process in the pathogenesis of DOR.The activation of inflammasomes in cells in response to microbial infections or injury is an important mechanism of the body's immune response. The Nod-like receptor protein 3(NLRP3)inflammasome is one of the extensively studied types of inflammasomes currently.NLRP3 is involved in the formation of inflammasome. With the in-depth study of NLRP3 inflammasome in recent years,it is found that the over-activation of NLRP3 inflammasome is an important factor leading to DOR.Therefore, this article reviews the assembly and activation of NLRP3 inflammasome and the role of NLRP3 inflammasome in DOR.It is expected to provide new ideas for the subsequent research on DOR and the development of clinical treatment.
