Oligoasthenospermia is a common clinical disease and also a important cause of male infertility.Currently,the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)mainly starts with tonifying the kidney,which achieves certain therapeutic effects.Yulin Gao's school of gynecology of TCM believes that the etiologies are closely related to diet,emotions and imbalance between work and rest,which may lead to phlegm-dampness,qi stagnation,blood stasis and the damage of kidney essence,repectively.The main affected areas are the spleen,liver,and kidneys.Excessive syndromes is"more excess than defeciency",such as phlegm-dampness and blood stasis occur more frequently than deficiency syndromes,including kidney essence depletion,in these diseases.The primary pathogenesis of this disease is attributed to phlegm-dampness and stasis syndrome.Treatment methods involve dispelling dampness,resolving phlegm,promoting blood circulation,and clearing collaterals.The main prescription is Shengjing Decoction,consisting of Chenpi,Qingbanxia,Fuling,and other ingredients,which has distinctive characteristics and outstanding curative effect,it provide more insights and methods for TCM clinical practice.
