Relationship between mesosalpinx status and serum carbohydrate antigen 125 and sex hormone levels after ovarian cyst excision in patients with endometriotic cysts
Objective To explore the relationship between mesosalpinx status and serum carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125)and sex hormone levels of after ovarian cyst excision in patients with endometriotic cyst. Methods A total of 83 patients with endometriotic cysts in Anqing Shihua Hospital of Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital Group from January 2020 to December 2022 were included as the research subjects. All patients were treated with ovarian cyst excision.According to the adhesion of preoperative mesosalpinx to the endometriotic cyst or the adnexa, the patients were divided into adhesion group(n =32)and non-adhesion group(n =51).The patients were classified into vascular injury group(n =37)and non-vascular injury group(n =46)according to whether there was active bleeding or hematoma in mesosalpinx during surgery. The effects of mesosalpinx status of patients on postoperative serum CA125 and sex hormone levels were analyzed. Results The levels of luteinizing hormone(LH),estradiol(E2),follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)and anti-Müllerian hormone(AMH)in adhesion group after surgery were lower than those in non-adhesion group(P<0.05).After surgery, the ovarian antral follicle count(AFC)in adhesion group was less than that in non-adhesion group, and the ovarian volume was smaller than that in non-adhesion group(P<0.05).The levels of LH,E2,FSH and AMH after surgery in vascular injury group were lower than those in non-vascular injury group(P<0.05).The ovarian AFC after surgery in vascular injury group was less than that in non-vascular injury group, and the ovarian volume was smaller compared with that in non-vascular injury group(P<0.05).Conclusions Mesosalpinx adhesion and intraoperative vascular injury in patients with endometriotic cysts can lead to the sex hormone levels reduction and affect the ovarian function, but they have little effect on serum CA125 level.
