Analysis of the infection status and influencing factors of human papilloma virus among 7,127 patients in Jinan area
Objective To analyze the infection status of human papilloma virus(HPV)among 7,127 patients in Jinan area, explore the correlation between age, season, and other factors with HPV infection, and provide a basis for scientific prevention and treatment of HPV in Jinan area. Methods A total of 7,127 patients admitted to Shandong Provincial Hospital Affiliated to Shandong First Medical University to get detected for HPV from June 2021 to March 2023 were selected as the study subjects.Polymerase chain reaction(PCR)combined with fluorescent probe(Tapman)technology was used to detect the infection condition of 15 types of high-risk HPV(HR-HPV)and 2 types of low-risk HPV(LR-HPV),and the infection rates were compared among the groups according to gender, age, and season. Results Among the patients included in the study, there were 1,780 cases in which at least one type of HPV infection detected, with an infection rate of 24.98%.LR-HPV infection rate was 4.22%,HR-HPV infection rate was 22.66%,and 136 patients was detected with both HR-HPV and LR-HPV,with a detection rate of 1.91%.The top 5 subtypes of HR-HPV infection rate were HPV52,HPV16,HPV58,HPV51,and HPV56,respectively.The single HPV infection rate of HPV was 17.88%and the multiple HPV infection rate was 7.10%.Among groups of different ages, the HPV infection rate showed a trend of decreasing first and then increasing with the increase of age,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Among groups of different seasons, winter was the season with the highest HPV infection rate, and spring was the season with the lowest HPV infection rate. Conclusions The HPV infection in Jinan area was mainly high-risk type and single infection, with a higher infection rate in males than in females. The age range of 18-29 and≥50 years old has high incidence of HPV,and winter was the high incidence season of HPV.The prevention, diagnosis and treatment of HPV should be strengthened in the high incidence season and high incidence population.
