The correlation between serum oxidation low-density lipoprotein and clinical pregnancy outcomes in infertile patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome
Objective To analyze the correlation between serum oxidation low-density lipoprotein(ox-LDL)and clinical pregnancy outcomes in infertile patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS).Methods A prospective cohort study method was used to continuously collect 155 cases of PCOS infertility patients treated at Chengde Central Hospital from January 2020 to December 2021 as the study subjects. The pregnancy success rate of the patients was recorded, and the clinical data, baseline sex hormone indexes, insulin resistance related indexes and serum ox-LDL levels were recorded when enrolled.According to the level of serum ox-LDL,the patients were divided into high-level group(n=85)and low-level group(n=70).The correlation between serum ox-LDL and clinical pregnancy outcome in infertile patients with PCOS were analyzed. Results Among 155 cases of PCOS infertility,34 cases were successfully pregnant, with a clinical pregnancy rate of 21.94%.The clinical pregnancy success rate of the high-level group was lower than that of the low-level group, and the homeostasis model insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)was higher than that of the low-level group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).According to Logistic regression analysis, upregulation of serum ox-LDL,HOMA-IR,and triglycerides(TG)expression in PCOS infertility patients were risk factors for clinical pregnancy failure(P<0.05).According to Pearson correlation test, serum ox-LDL levels were positively correlated with HOMA-IR and TG in infertile patients with PCOS(r>0,P<0.05).The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve showed the area under ROC curve(AUC)of serum ox-LDL level predicting the clinical pregnancy outcome of PCOS infertile patients was 0.806.When the serum ox-LDL threshold reached 498.09 μg/L,the risk of clinical pregnancy failure in patients was higher. Conclusions The clinical pregnancy outcome of PCOS infertility patients is related to an increase in serum ox-LDL,and early detection can help predict the risk of clinical pregnancy failure and can be served as an auxiliary predictive indicator.
