Effects of cervical cerclage and drug therapy on delivery modes and pregnancy outcomes in patients with cervical insufficiency
Objective To compare and analyze the effects of cervical cerclage and drug therapy on delivery modes and pregnancy outcomes in patients with cervical insufficiency(CI).Methods The clinical data of 55 patients with CI admitted to Tongxiang Maternal and Child Health Hospital and Jiaxing Maternal and Child Health Hospital from July 2020 and July 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into drug group(n=25)and cerclage group(n=30).The drug group was treated with conservative drugs, while cerclage group was treated with cervical cerclage. The delivery modes, pregnancy outcomes and occurrence of complications in the two groups were compared. Results The vaginal delivery rate in cerclage group was 16.67%,which is lower than 45.83%in drug group, and cesarean section rate was 83.33%,which is higher than 54.17%in drug group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in abortion/stillbirth and live birth rate between the two groups(P>0.05).The premature delivery rate in cerclage group was lower than that in drug group, and full-term delivery rate was higher than that in drug group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of patients'and neonatal complications(except for premature rupture of membranes)between the two groups(P>0.05),and the incidence of premature rupture of membranes in cerclage group was lower than that in drug group(P<0.05).Conclusions Compared with conservative drugs treatment, cervical cerclage has more significant clinical curative effect in CI patients, which can change delivery modes and pregnancy outcomes, with high safety.
