Efficacy of photodynamic therapy combined with CO2 laser in the treatment of condyloma acuminatum patients and its influence on levels of angiopoietin-2,human beta-defensin-2,B-cell lymphoma-2 and interleukin-8
Objective To explore the efficacy of photodynamic therapy combined with CO2 laser in the treatment of condyloma acuminatum(CA)and its influence on the levels of angiopoietin-2(Ang-2),human beta-defensin-2(HBD-2),B-cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2)and interleukin-8(IL-8).Methods A total of 68 patients with CA admitted to in Changshu Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University from January 2021 to October 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into laser group and photodynamic group by the random number table method, with 34 cases in each group. The laser group was treated with CO21aser,and the photodynamic group was given 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy(ALA-PDT)on the basis of the laser group. The clinical efficacy, human papilloma virus(HPV)negative conversion rate in skin lesion tissue, and changes in peripheral blood indicators before and after treatment were compared between both groups, and the occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment in the two groups were analyzed. Results The total recurrence rate in photodynamic group at 6 months after treatment was significantly lower than that in laser group, while the total effective rate of treatment was significantly higher than that in laser group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).At 1,2,3 and 6 months after treatment, the negative conversion rate of HPV in skin lesion tissue was gradually increased in both groups, and the HPV negative conversion rate in photodynamic group was significantly higher than that in laser group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The levels of Ang-2,IL-8 and Bcl-2 in both groups were significantly decreased after treatment(P<0.05),while the HBD-2 was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the above indicators in photodynamic group were statistically different from those in laser group after treatment, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence rate of adverse reactions between groups(P>0.05).Conclusions ALA-PDT combined with CO2 laser has significant efficacy in the treatment of CA patients, and it can promote the HPV negative conversion, improve the immune-related indicators of patients, and has good safety.
