The level of demoralization in patients undergoing postoperative chemoradiotherapy for cervical cancer and its impact on quality of life
Objective To investigate the current status of demoralization and quality of life in patients undergoing postoperative chemoradiotherapy for cervical cancer, and to analyse the relationship between demoralization and quality of life,in order to provide a basis and reference for improving patients'quality of life. Methods A convenience sampling method was used to select 210 patients with postoperative chemoradiotherapy for cervical cancer admitted to the Cancer Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2022 to April 2022 as the study objects. The general information questionnaire, the simplified Chinese version of the demoralization scale(DS-Ⅱ)and the functional assessment of cancer therapy generic scale(FACT-G)to investigate the patients and the results were analyzed. Results The demoralization score was(14.40±4.87)points and the quality of life score was(69.24±7.20)points.Correlation analysis showed that demoralization was negatively correlated with quality of life(r=-0.661,P<0.01).The results of the stratified regression analysis showed that demoralization was included in the model of factors influencing quality of life and demoralization could independently explain 7.60%of the variance in quality of life. Conclusions Patients with postoperative chemoradiotherapy for cervical cancer have moderate levels of demoralization and quality of life,of which demoralization is an important predictor of quality of life, and clinical staff can predict patients'quality of life by the level of demoralization,so attention should be paid to the patients'demoralization status.
