Expression and clinical significance of V-type immunoglobulin domain-containing suppressor of T cell activation,the immune checkpoint T-cell activation suppressor,and human endogenous retrovirus subfamily H long terminal repeat associating protein 2 in end
Objective To analyze the expression and clinical significance of V-type immunoglobulin domain-containing suppressor of T cell activation(VISTA),the immune checkpoint T-cell activation suppressor,and human endogenous retrovirus subfamily H long terminal repeat associating protein 2(HHLA2)in endometrial cancer(EC).Methods A total of 120 cases of EC patients admitted to Tangshan Maternal and Child Health Hospital from September 2017 to October 2019 were selected,and EC tissues and paracancerous normal tissues were collected.The expression of VISTA and HHLA2 in EC tissues and paracancerous normal tissues were detected.The correlation of immune checkpoints VISTA and HHLA2 was analyzed by Spearman analysis.Kaplan-Meier analysis was performed to analyze the relationship between VISTA,HHLA2 and the prognosis.Cox regression was performed to analyze the risk factors affecting the prognosis of EC patients.Results The positive expression rates of VISTA and HHLA2 in EC tissues were significantly higher than those in normal paracancerous tissues(P<0.05).Spearman correlation showed a positively correlation between the expression of VISTA and HHLA2 in EC tissues(r=0.587,P<0.05).The expressions of VISTA and HHLA2 in EC tissues were correlated with clinicopathological features(P<0.05).Kaplan-Meier curve showed that the 3-year survival rate of patients with positive VISTA expression was lower than that of patients with negative expression(x2=11.864,P<0.05),and the 3-year survival rate of patients with positive expression of HHLA2 was lower than that of patients with negative expression(x2=4.975,P<0.05).Cox regression analysis showed that VISTA and HHLA2 were risk factors affecting the prognosis of EC patients(P<0.05).Conclusions Immune checkpoint VISTA and HHLA2 are highly expressed in EC,they are risk factors affecting the prognosis of EC,and may be valuable prognostic markers.
