Analysis of research hotspots and trends of sexual and reproductive health in China from the perspective of bibliometrics
Objective To understand the hotspots and trends of sexual and reproductive health research in China, and to provide reference for subsequent related research. Methods The literatures on sexual and reproductive health included in CNKI from January 1st 2018 to May 10th 2023 were retrieved.Excel was used to analyze the trend of the number of publications.CiteSpace 6.2.R2 software was used to map the authors, research institutions, keyword co-occurrence,and keyword clustering of the included literature to analyze the findings. Results A total of 3,394 literatures were included in the analysis, and the overall number of publications showed a downward trend year by year. The core authors published a total of 1,340 articles, accounting for 39.48%of the total number of literatures, and the core author group has not yet been formed in this field. The research institutions generally formed two cooperation networks, with less inter-institutional cooperation. The research focused on acquired immunodeficiency syndrome and its related topics. Conclusions The problem of sexual and reproductive health is still serious in China, and research capacity and cooperation in this field should be strengthened. There are relatively few studies on sexual and reproductive health education, and exploration of the current situation of sexual and reproductive education into the compulsory education system, initiated by the national official education force, may be an effective way to improve the current situation of sexual and reproductive education in China.
