Objective To analyze and evaluate andrology service ability at health centers for women and children at district and county level in Chongqing,and to provide data support for further promoting work of andrology.Methods A training course on the diagnosis and treatment of andrology diseases was held from June 9th to 10th,2021,and a questionnaire survey was conducted to collect data on the provision of andrology services and human resources from 39 health centers for women and children at district and county level in Chongqing.The descriptive analysis was conducted on the data.Results All 39 health centers for women and children at district and county level in Chongqing have andrologists,and 27 hospitals have andrology clinics,of which 10 andrology clinics were newly opened in the past five years.More than 75％of the patients in 22 andrology clinics were pre-pregnancy checkups and pre-marital check-ups.Because of the small number of patients seeking medical attention due to diseases,no hospitals perform andrology microsurgery.Although the remaining 12 institutions were equipped with andrologists,they could only carry out pre-marital examinations and pre-pregnancy eugenics projects,and cannot provide diagnosis and treatment of common andrology diseases.Conclusions The development of andrology at health centers for women and children at district and county level in Chongqing is still in its start-up stages,with insufficient human resource allocation.However,patients have their unique population characteristics,and the development prospect of andrology has certain advantages.
