Application of ultrasonic shear wave elastography combined with prostate imaging report and data system score in the diagnosis of benign and malignant prostate lesions
Objective To explore the application value of ultrasonic shear wave elastography(SWE)combined with prostate imaging report and data system(PI-RADS)score in the diagnosis of benign and malignant prostate lesions. Methods A total of 96 patients with prostate diseases admitted to Hangzhou Ninth People's Hospital from January 2018 to January 2023 were retrospectively enrolled as the research objects.According to the results of postoperative pathological examination, they were divided into prostate hyperplasia group(n=51)and prostate cancer group(n=45).Both groups underwent SWE and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)scan. The imaging characteristics of ultrasound and MRI,SWE value, and PI-RADS score in the two groups were compared, and the diagnostic efficiency of the two groups for benign and malignant prostate lesions was analyzed. Results The maximum and mean values of SWE in prostate hyperplasia group were lower than those in prostate cancer group(P<0.05),and PI-RADS score was also lower than that in prostate cancer group(P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves analysis showed that area under curve(AUC)of maximum SWE combined with mean SWE and PI-RADS score in the diagnosis of benign and malignant prostate lesions was greater than that of them alone(P<0.05).Conclusions SWE combined with PI-RADS score can improve the diagnostic efficiency for benign and malignant prostate lesions, which is conducive to the early noninvasive diagnosis of prostate cancer.
