Effect of microscopic ligation combined with Mailuo Shutong Pill on semen quality and recurrence in patients with varicocele
Objective To investigate the effect of microscopic ligation combined with Mailuo Shutong Pill on postoperative semen quality and recurrence in patients with varicocele.Methods A total of 100 patients with varicocele treated by microscopic ligation in No.920th Hospital of Joint Logistic Support Force,PLA from June 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the study objects.They were divided into study group and control group by random number table method,with 50 cases in each group.The control group was given routine postoperative adjuvant treatment,and the study group was given Mailuo Shutong Pill on the basis of the control group.The treatment effect,semen quality,recurrence rate and complications were compared after treatment between the two groups.Results The recovery rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Six months after treatment,the semen volume and sperm density of the study group were higher than those of the control group,the liquefaction duration was shorter than that of the control group,and the sperm malformation rate was lower than that of the control group,with the differences statistically significant(P＜0.05).The complication incidence rate and recurrence rate of the study group were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusions Microscopic ligation combined with Mailuo Shutong Pill is effective in the treatment of varicocele patients,which can significantly improve semen quality and reduce the incidence of complications and recurrence.
