Clinical observation on the treatment of chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome combined with asthenozoospermia of kidney deficiency damp heat type with Jiawei Qianjin Difuzi Tang
Objective To discuss the clinical efficacy of Jiawei Qianjin Difuzi Tang in the treatment of chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CP/CPPS)combined with asthenozoospermia.Methods A total of 86 patients with kidney deficiency and damp heat type CP/CPPS combined with asthenozoospermia admitted to Zhuhai Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine were selected as study objects.They were randomly divided into an experimental group(n=44)and a control group(n=42).The control group was treated with conventional western medicine,while the experimental group was treated with Jiawei Qianjin Difuzi Tang on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score and semen quality of the two groups were compared before and after treatment.Results After 12 weeks of treatment,the overall effective rate of the experimental group(88.6％)was higher than that of the control group(66.7％).The national institutes of health chronic prostatitis symptom index(NIH-CPSI)score,TCM syndrome score,and sperm DNA fragment index(DFI)level of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group.Average urine flow rate(AFR),maximum urine flow rate(MFR),progressive motility+non-progressive motility(PR+NP),and sperm acrosin activity were significantly higher than those of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusions Jiawei Qianjin Difuzi Tang combined with western medicine can improve the symptoms of dysuria,pelvic pain,sexual function and sperm motility decline in patients with kidney deficiency damp heat type CP/CPPS combined with asthenozoospermia.
