With the promotion of the health concept of whole-people,whole-course and whole-cycle health,sexual health has received more and more attention.Sex therapists play a very important role in male and female sexual mental health.However,because of the influence of the traditional thoughts in Chinese mainland,the development of sex therapy is relatively backward.This paper analyzes the development status of sex therapy in abroad and Chinese mainland,Hong Kong and Taiwan,summarizes the training situation and ability requirements of sex therapists at home and abroad,in order to provide reference and improvement direction for the development of sex therapists with nurses as a group in Chinese mainland,and also lay a certain foundation for the standardization and homogeneity of sex therapists in the Chinese mainland.
