Impacts of traditional Chinese medicine triple therapy on follicular development,serum inhibin B level,and pregnancy status in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome infertility of deficiency of spleen and kidney type
Objective To explore the impacts of traditional Chinese medicine triple therapy on follicular development,serum inhibin B(INHB)level,and pregnancy status in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)infertility of deficiency of spleen and kidney type.Methods A total of 72 patients with PCOS infertility of spleen and kidney deficiency type who were treated at Hebei Maternity Hospital from June 2022 to January 2023 were grouped into an observation group(n=36)and a control group(n=36)using random number table method.The control group was treated with clomiphene,and the observation group was given traditional Chinese medicine triple therapy on the basis of the control group.The follicular development level,hormone level,serum INHB level and pregnancy rate of the two groups were compared.Results The numbers of mature follicles in both groups after 6 months of treatment were significantly higher than those after 3 months of treatment,and the numbers of mature follicles in the observation group after 3 months and 6 months of treatment were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After 3 months and 6 months of treatment,the levels of luteinizing hormone(LH)decreased compared with that before treatment,and the levels of follicle stimulating hormone(FSH)and serum INHB increased compared with those before treatment.The decrease of LH level and the increases of FSH and serum INHB in the observation group after 3 months and 6 months of treatment were more significant than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After 3 and 6 months of treatment,the pregnancy rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusions Traditional Chinese medicine triple therapy can significantly improve the follicular development condition of patients with PCOS infertility of deficiency of spleen and kidney type,and increase their serum INHB level and pregnancy rate.
