Effect of Longbishu combined with tamsulosin hydrochloride on prostate function and inflammatory factors in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia
Objective To explore the effect of Longbishu combined with tamsulosin hydrochloride on prostate function and inflammatory factors in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods A total of 70 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia who were treated in Deqing County People's Hospital from December 2020 to December 2022 were selected as study objects and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with tamsulosin hydrochloride, while the observation group was given Longbishu combined with tamsulosin hydrochloride. The efficacy, prostate function related indicators[international prostate symptom score(IPSS),prostate volume(PV),maximum urinary flow rate(Qmax)],inflammatory factors[serum interleukin-8(IL-8),human macrophage chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)]were compared between the two groups, and the incidence of adverse reactions was compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).IPSS,IL-8,MCP-1,TNF-α levels of the two groups were lower than before treatment, while the Qmax level was higher than before treatment, and the observation group had lower IPSS,IL-8,MCP-1,TNF-α levels, and higher Qmax level than the control group, with significant differences(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Longbishu combined with tamsulosin hydrochloride is effective in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. It can effectively control the clinical symptoms of patients, reduce the level of inflammatory factors, and has good safety.
