Expression of serum histone deacetylase 10 in cervical cancer patients and its relationship with prognosis
Objective To investigate the expression of histone deacetylase 10(HDAC10)of cervical cancer patients and its relationship with prognosis. Methods A total of 115 cervical cancer patients diagnosed and treated in Hubei Aerospace Hospital from July 2019 to July 2021 were collected as the cervical cancer group.According to the mortality situation of the patients within 2 years, they were grouped into a death group(31 cases)and a survival group(84 cases);a total of 110 women who underwent physical examinations in the same hospital during the same period were collected as the control group.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was applied to detect serum HD AC 10 level, receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the predictive value of serum HD AC 10 level for mortality in cervical cancer patients, multivariate Cox regression was applied to analyze the factors of mortality in cervical cancer patients. Results The serum HDAC10 level in cervical cancer group was lower than control group with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The serum HDAC 10 level in cervical cancer patients with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics(FIGO)stage Ⅲ+Ⅳ,poorly differentiated pathological grade, depth of interstitial infiltration>1/2,lymph node metastasis were lower than that in patients with FIGO stage Ⅰ+Ⅱ,moderately/highly differentiated pathological grade, depth of interstitial infiltration≤1/2,and non-lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).The proportions of patients with FIGO stage Ⅲ+Ⅳ and lymph node metastasis in the death group were higher than those in the survival group, and the serum HDAC 10 level was significantly lower than the survival group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The area under curve(AUC)of serum HDAC 10 level in predicting mortality in cervical cancer patients was 0.893,with a sensitivity of 88.10%and a specificity of 83.90%.Lymph node metastasis was an independent risk factor for mortality in cervical cancer patients, and HDAC 10 was a protective factor for mortality in cervical cancer patients(P<0.05).Conclusions The expression of serum HDAC 10 in cervical cancer patients is low,it is correlated with FIGO staging, pathological grading, depth of interstitial infiltration, lymph node metastasis, and prognosis.HDAC 10 may serve as a potential prognostic indicator.
