Exploration of the clinical medication rules of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia based on data mining
Objective To explore the clinical medication rules of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)based on data mining. Methods The clinical research literatures on TCM treatment of BPH were searched from Chinese databases such as CNKI,VIP and Wanfang database from database establishment to December 2022,and an excel database was established.SPSS Modeler 18.0 and SPSS Statistics 25.0 were used for frequency statistics, association rules and cluster analysis. Results A total of 81 literatures and 63 prescriptions were included, involving 127 Chinese herbs with a total medication frequency of 691.There were 20 herbs with frequency>10,and the top 5 herbs were Huangqi,Rougui,Fuling,Taoren, and Zexie. The predominant properties of the herbs were cold, warm, and neutral, and the predominant tastes were sweet, bitter, and pungent. The main meridians involved were the liver, kidney, and spleen. The main TCM syndrome elements were kidney deficiency and blood stasis. The strongest association rules among the herbs were Fuling-Zexie,Taoren-Rougui,and Shudihuang-Mudanpi.The core prescription consisted of Guizhi Fuling Pill combined with Shenqi Pill. Conclusions BPH is based on kidney deficiency and blood stasis, and the medications are mainly tonifying Qi,promoting blood circulation and rehydrating water.BPH can be treated by regulating liver, tonifying kidney, invigorating spleen and regulating viscera balance.
