Analysis of factors related to the fertility quality of life in women undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer
Objective To explore the influencing factors of the fertility quality of life in women undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF-ET).Methods A total of 620 women who underwent IVF-ET at Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital from December 2021 to February 2023 were selected as research objects using convenience sampling.General information questionnaire and fertility quality of life questionnaire(Ferti QoL)were used for investigation.The influencing factors of the quality of life were explored through univariate analysis and multiple stepwise linear regression analysis.Results The survey showed that the fertility quality of life in women undergoing IVF-ET was at a moderately low level.The results of univariate analysis showed that age,occupation,stress level,treatment stage,duration of infertility,psychological status,and marital satisfaction had an impact on the fertility quality of life in women undergoing IVF-ET(P＜0.05).The results of multiple stepwise linear regression analysis showed that stress level,psychological status,and marital satisfaction were significantly correlated with the fertility quality of life in women undergoing IVF-ET(P＜0.05).Conclusions Women undergoing IVF-ET have a low fertility quality of life,and the main influencing factors are stress level,psychological status,and marital satisfaction.Therefore,healthcare professionals need to reduce the life stress of women undergoing IVF-ET,improve marital intimacy,correct their negative psychological conditions,and help them successfully navigate the transplantation stage.
