Clinical diagnostic value and influence on prognostic of serum circATRNL1 level in ovarian endometriosis
Objective To investigate the expression level of circATRNL1 in the serum of patients with ovarian endometriosis,and its significance for clinical diagnosis and prognosis evaluation.Methods A total of 110 patients with ovarian endometriosis who received treatment in Hainan Women and Children's Medical Center from January 2020 to April 2022 were enrolled into the endometriosis group.They were grouped into mild group(n=36),moderate group(n=46),and severe group(n=28)according to the revised American Fertility Society(r-AFS)staging criteria;according to the patient's prognosis,they were grouped into a good prognosis group(n=68)and a poor prognosis group(n=42),another 110 healthy women who underwent physical examination in the same hospital during the same period were collected as the control group.The levels of circATRNL1,carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125),interleukin-6(IL-6)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in each group were compared;multivariate Logistic regression was applied to analyze the influencing factors of prognosis in patients with ovarian endometriosis;receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to analyze the clinical diagnostic value and prognostic prediction efficacy of circATRNL1 and CA125 levels in patients with ovarian endometriosis.Results Compared with the control group,the levels of circATRNL1,CA125,IL-6,and VEGF in the endometriosis group were significantly increased(P＜0.05).The serum levels of circATRNL1,CA125,IL-6,and VEGF in the severe group were significantly higher than those in the moderate group and mild group,and the moderate group were significantly higher than the mild group(P＜0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of the combined diagnosis of serum circATRNL1 and CA125 for moderate/severe ovarian endometriosis was 0.964,which was better than that of circATRNL1 and CA125 alone(Z=2.305,2.213;P=0.021,0.027).The levels of circATRNL1,CA125,IL-6,and VEGF in the poor prognosis group were significantly higher than those in the good prognosis group(P＜0.05).The AUC of the combination of serum circATRNL1 and CA125 in predicting the prognosis of patients with ovarian endometriosis was 0.972,which was better than that of circATRNL1 and CA125 alone(Z=2.685,2.457;P=0.007,0.014).CircATRNL1,CA125,IL-6,and VEGF were influencing factors of prognosis for patients with ovarian endometriosis(P＜0.05).Conclusions The serum circATRNL1 level in patients with ovarian endometriosis is significantly elevated,and the combination of CA125 and circATRNL1 has good diagnostic value for the severity of ovarian endometriosis in patients,and has high evaluation efficacy for prognosis.
