Research progress of stem cell therapy in the treatment of cavernous nerve injury-induced erectile dysfunction
Cavernous nerve injury-induced erectile dysfunction(CNIED)is a common clinical type of male sexual dysfunction, which has a complex pathogenesis and the treatment methods are diverse, but the clinical efficacy is uneven. As an emerging therapeutic approach, stem cell therapy has the potential to treat CNIED by promoting nerve regeneration, angiogenesis and tissue repair through transplantation of stem cells. This paper reviews the application of stem cell therapy in CNIED to provide a reference for in-depth research on the potential role of stem cells in treating CNIED.
