The clinical value of serum transcription factor like protein 5 in predicting endometrial cancer and its prognosis
Objective To explore the clinical value of serum transcription factor like protein 5(TCFL5)in predicting endometrial cancer and its prognosis. Methods A total of 120 patients diagnosed with endometrial cancer in Handan Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2016 to June 2018 were selected as the experimental group.Meanwhile,120 women who participated in health examinations in the same hospital in the same period were selected as the control group. The expression levels of TCFL5 in the serum, endometrial cancer tissues, and different clinical stages of the two groups of patients were compared. The area under the curve(AUC)of the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the predictive value of serum TCFL5 expression levels for endometrial cancer.Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis were used to investigate the impact of serum TCFL5 expression levels on the prognosis of endometrial cancer. Results The expression levels of serum TCFL5 in the experimental group were significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.001).Compared with para-carcinoma tissues,TCFL5 was highly expressed in the cancer tissues(P<0.001).The later the clinical stage, the higher the expression level of TCFL5(P<0.05).The expression level of TCFL5 had a high predictive performance for endometrial cancer(AUC=0.907,95%CI:0.878-0.937).Both univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis confirmed that age and TCFL5 expression level were independent influencing factors for the prognosis of endometrial cancer(P<0.05).Conclusions The expression level of TCFL5 is significantly elevated in the serum of endometrial cancer patients. It can be used as a marker for the diagnosis of endometrial cancer and has good predictive value for the prognosis of patients.
