Detection of the positive expression and pathological characteristics of astrocyte up-regulated gene-1 in ovarian cancer patients with different differentiation degrees and stages based on immunohistochemical streptavidin-perosidase method
Objective To explore the positive rate expression and pathological characteristics of astrocyte up-regulated gene-1(AEG-1)in different differentiation degrees and stages of ovarian cancer based on immunohistochemical streptavidin-peroxidase(SP)method.Methods A total of 97 patients with ovarian cancer admitted to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University from October 2018 to January 2023 were selected as the study subjects. All patients underwent surgical resection and were diagnosed by pathological examination. The expression of AEG-1 in ovarian lesions was detected by immunohistochemical SP method. The positive expression of AEG-1,staining intensity score and pathological features were analyzed. Results The staining intensity score was 3.14±0.76 points. The positive rate of AEG-1 expression in ovarian cancer tissues was 83.51%,and the positive signal of AEG-1 did not appear in normal ovarian tissues around the tumor. There was no significant difference in the positive rate of AEG-1 expression in ovarian cancer tissues between patients with mucinous ovarian cancer and ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma(P>0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the positive expression rates of international federation of gynecology and obstetrics(FIGO)staging and lymph node metastasis in patients with ovarian cancer(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the positive expression rate of ages and differentiation degrees of ovarian cancer patients(P>0.05).Conclusions AEG-1 can promote the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer, which can be used to judge the malignant degree and disease progression of ovarian cancer.
